Christmas Day 3 - Christmas Day!

Looks like Santa was here! Now if only the kids would wake up!

The before.

The kids are up! Kyla loves her "sink for her dollies." And Colton just loves everything!

The after.

What a difference one year can make...

These things are cool!

After all that and here's Kyla playing with Colton's things...

And Colton playing with Kyla's things...

Or just playing with the boxes. He loves boxes. Big ones, small ones, it just doesn't matter.

Christmas Day 3 - Part II

Christmas Day we had everyone over for cookies, dinner, cookies, presents, and cookies.

"That popcorn looks really good, Grandma. I bet I can get it without using my hands! My dad taught me this. He said that chicks dig it."

"Is this all we have for presents? What a joke. I hope there's more wine..."

"Ooooh! I have no idea what it is, but I can tell it makes noise. My favorite!"

My goodness, does someone look tired or what! She really does love her new game. We don't quite follow the rules yet, but she loves for her "person" to go up the ladders and down the chutes.

"I don't need no stinkin' scissors! I can open this with the bow still on! Amateurs!"

How sweet is little Evelyn? Don't you just love her little dress?

"Quick. Everyone stick something in their mouth. C'mon, Noah!! Goodie, goodie."

Christmas Day 2 - Christmas Eve

One of my favorite Christmas traditions growing up was going to my Uncle Frank and Aunt Lana's for Christmas Eve. Us cousins always had so much fun together. Now while we all catch up our kids are running around together. How cool is that?

"This is the life, Rueben. Two guys just hanging out together in a nice comfortable leather chair. What could be better?"
"I'll tell you what could be better, sitting here with food!"

"Whoa, whoa. Rueben, what are you doing? No screwing around up here. There's women everywhere. They'll catch you and make you get down. The Dad's wouldn't care, but you have the Mom's up here."
"How else are we gonna get food? Someone's got to do it. You're just sitting there!"

"Seriously, Rueben, you'd better sit down. Oooh... you're gonna get it. Don't say I didn't warn ya."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, excuse me. Could one of you lovely ladies hook me up with a cookie or two?"
"I want one with frosting."
"I don't think we can afford to be picky."

"Man, I tried to tell him! I gotta admit though, I kinda admire his spirit. Now, about that cookie..."

As Grandma reads the Christmas story, Will comes in for a hug.

It was so sweet. We're all sitting there and all of a sudden Kyla puts her arm around Judaya. That kind of stuff just makes my heart smile.

Look at this!! It's just nuts!

More heart smiling...

"YEEHAW!" Will got a rocking horse. It's so cute, the horse neighs and swishes it's tail.

Judaya. She's getting so big.

Awww... Kyla and her daddy.

Judaya couldn't wait either...

SANTA!!

As we were getting ready to celebrate William's birthday, Santa arrived!! Everyone was so excited!! Grandma's in a frenzy to get her camera ready...

And what do you want for Christmas, Kyla?
"I want a sink for my dollies."

This is as close as Colton would get without crying.

As Santa tells the kids just how good Grandma was when she was little we hear a, "Watch that hand, Santa."

It was so much fun. At one point Kyla called him, "Santie Wantie!" She still talks about how Santa came to see her before Christmas. The night after Christmas Kyla came running from the window, "I see him, I see him!! C'mon! I have to go to bed right now!" I explained to her that Santa was just checking to make sure she liked her things and that she was sharing with her brother.
