Little Dancer

Kyla has been talking about going to a Dance Class for quite a while so I decided to put her in a little dance class through Community Ed. The first night I had Kyla dressed in a cute little pink sweat suit and shoes (the note had said to dress comfortably). We arrive about 10 minutes early (I know I was early - call the press). There was about 4 other little girls there and they were all dressed in little tutu's with little ballet slippers. Clearly this wasn't their first class. Kyla was unusually quiet and I was encouraging her to go and make some new friends. She would just sit quietly in my lap watching the other girls playing in the gym. Finally, she looked up at me and said, "I want to go home and change. I want to wear a dress too." Crap! I was telling Grandma MariBeth about Kyla's comment and she found this adorable little tutu for Kyla that she can pull on over her clothes. Perfect! She loves it!!

"You go, girl!"

In Her Shoes

Grandma MariBeth had stopped by for a visit and Colton found her shoes.
"How do you put these things on?"

"That wasn't hard. Not bad... kinda comfy..."

"No, no. The necklace is too much."

"That's right, I'm a man in a woman's shoe. I'm not ashamed. I'm comfortable with my sexuality. Okay, so I'm only 18 months old and don't really know what that means. I just like to wear everyone else's shoes."

It was an unusaully warm day and Brady had a little spring fever. The next thing I knew he's riding around the yard on the John Deere as if it was good friend he hadn't seen in a long time. What better time than now to introduce Colton to the testosterone laden machine. Colton was having a grand ol' time riding with Daddy. Don't worry Grandma's the mower was not on.

"Wee..."

"She thinks my tractor's sexy..."

"Cheese!"
"What does this thing do?"

Kyla pouting... about what I have no idea.
"I want to be by myself, Mom."

"Hey Mom, Do you like Seafood?"

"Ahhhh... Get it? See food? You can see my food! Ha ha ha!"

"I know it's been a long time since we've posted some pictures. Here's a whole bunch."

"Happy Easter!"

"I don't want to stand. Can't you just take the stinkin' picture with me in the chair?"

How cute is this? Her "baby sister" has the same dress, Kyla has an Easter bonnet, little white gloves, and an adorable little purse.

We enjoyed dinner at Grandpa and Grandma Parks'.

Colton, it looks like you've found a chair just your size.

He apparently had to evict the previous occupants.

Easter Pictures out on the Steps

Here we are to get our annual Easter pictures on the steps. Grandma Parks had made the kids these wonderful coats to go with their Easter outfits. Kyla was trying so hard to get her little gloves on...

Colton had wandered off and is now back. Yeah, Colton!

I just love that!

Then we went to Grandpa and Grandma Abrahamson's. With Easter coming so early this year, there was still snow on the ground. Therefore the Great Egg Hunt was held indoors. Let the games begin!

Cute, Dan! Pink is your color!

All the kiddos.

Getting Ready for Easter

Well, it's that time of year again. Time to boil a bunch of eggs, drop them in colored water, and place stickers all over them! Guess which part was Kyla's favorite?

You guessed it! The stickers! I don't know how but they managed to escape the eggs. I'm still finding stickers! Just the other day I was scrapping one out of my dryer. Stinkin' stickers.
