Our Child Care Christmas Party!

Welcome to our child care Christmas party! Not only did Mom and Dad come but all of our Grandpa's and Grandma's came too! We had so much fun! First we put on a Christmas Pageant for everyone. Wait until you see what parts we played!

Here is Joseph and Mary asking the Inn Keeper for a room.
Austin as the Inn Keeper, Noah as Joseph, and Stella as Mary.

He didn't have room for them so he brought them out to the stable. That's where baby Jesus was born!
Gabe as baby Jesus.

Then there were angels! The one on the left is particularily cute. The one on the right isn't that bad though either...
Nora as a shephard, Kyla as an angel, and Max as an angel.

Here's Trevor as one of the sheep...

And our personal favorite...

Here's the whole group.

Then the we sang songs for everyone. First we sang, "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer."

Don't you just love the stickers?

Then we sang, "The Twelve Days of Christmas".

And then, "Jingle Bells."

We ended with, "We Wish you a Merry Christmas." I guess Mom was so busy enjoying the program that she didn't get a picture. Dad pulled his weight by getting the entire thing on video. Thank goodness for Dad. After all the songs we enjoyed breaking a Christmas Pinata, exchanging gifts, and of course eating all the goodies everyone brought. What a fun day!!

Happy Birthday Kyla!!

It's here!! Kyla is now 3!! When she woke up this morning I went in and gave her a big hug and sang "Happy Birthday" to her. When I finished she said, "Mama, where is it?" I asked, "Where's what, Honey?" "My berfday." She answered. "I no see it." I then explained that birthdays aren't something we see, they're just there.

Grandma MariBeth called to wish Kyla a happy birthday. Unfortunately, Kyla was still a little crabby from daycare. She had woken up saying that she was still tired. She perked right up when she saw her presents and little birthday cake.

"Happy birthday dear Kyla..."

Just what part of the cake is Kyla's favorite? She scraped off all of the frosting and then refused to eat the cake because, "I no like it."

"Look, Mama!! That's me!" Grandma Nancy found a great book with a cut out in the lower right hand corner where she put a picture of Kyla. Kyla gets to be on every page!! Very cool!
Kyla's eyes just about popped out of her head when she heard her book singing "Happy Birthday" to her!

Here Kyla's is tearing into her presents while Dad is holding off Colton. He so wanted to "help."

"Look, Mama!! I caught one!" Like father, like daughter. Brady was showing Kyla the ropes on catching fish.

"Omigosh, slow down!! I can't look. What's with you crazy women drivers?"

"I don't dare let go, I'm hanging on for dear life!"

So, it's a peaceful Sunday morning. I'm at the computer, Kyla is playing in the living room, and Colton is... where's Colton? It's a little too quiet. I had better go and check to see what Colton is up to...

Here he is!! He had climbed up the step stool and climbed into the sink! I quick took a picture, got him out of the sink, closed the bathroom door (to discourage a repeat performance), and then changed my underwear. GEEZ!! What they won't get into!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Trick-or Treat!!!

Here they are, all excited to go Trick-or-Treating. We took all three of the kids the the immediate neighbors and then Dad and Kyla went touring the neighborhood on the fourwheeler. Kyla wa so excited. She would run up to each house racing Brady, "I beat you, Daddy!" Then she would start saying "Trick-or-treat" before the owners could get their doors open. Then she would race Brady back down to the four wheeler.

The kids are looking at their Jack-O-Lanterns that Daddy made.

Well of course Abby dressed up! And how fitting that she's dressed as a princess.

Halloween Parade!!
Kyla didn't quite know what to expect, but she was excited. NoahCaden and Grandma were going to be there! Colton was so funny - as soon as he got his costume on he was trying to shake off the carrot that's attached to his right "paw."

Here's Noah, Kyla, and Caden patiently waiting the parade to start.

Poor Colton was so tired, but he didn't want to miss anything. He stayed awake for the entire parade!! With Kyla also missing her nap, I had some tired kids on my hands. They did very well considering.

We met up with my friend Amy and her family, and her sister Heather and her family. Here's Anna, Cal, and Hunter.

We had such a good time we're already looking forward to next year's parade!

What a fun day. I think Kyla was the most excited person here. Everytime someone would arrive, Kyla would yell, It's Coltie's birthday!!" She enjoyed showing Colton just how to do everything, from eating his cake to opening and playing with his presents.
Here's the Birthday Prince in front of his cake.

"Mama Inda" as Colton calls her, was helping Colton clean up his tray by wiping up some cake with her finger and putting it in his mouth. He thought he should then put his finger in her mouth.

A warm heartfelt thank you to all of you who were there to help celebrate Colton's first birthday. It's hard to believe he's one already. Where does the time go?

Poor Colton was trying so hard to get into Baby Evelyn's bouncy seat. He just couldn't get it figured out...

"This can't be right."
