For the 4th of July we went over to some friends house. Jesse and Jessica have twin girls Ashley and Emily. They were born just before Colton. Tim and Becky have Jakob and Zach. Jakob is 2 and Zach is months old. It was so fun to watch all the kids play together. Hopefully Colton and Jakob won't take after their naughty, but fun fathers.

Summer Fun!!
A Day at the Zoo
Here's Sparky the seal...

Say, "Cheese!"

So, here I'm thinking..."I'm not such a dope. I have this big bag with water and snacks for the kids, I have my camera..." I'm not so bad at this Mom thing... what the heck?
Stupid bag. I ended up carrying the stupid thing around all day! UGH!

Ahhhh... one of my favorite pictures...

After the zoo, I took the kids to a nearby park to play.
"Watch this, Mom!"

The Friends School Plant Sale!
WOW!! So many plants... so little time! This is a wonderful fundraiser for the Friends School. The Friends school is a K-8 independant Quaker school. Every mother's day weekend they have their plant sale with over 2,200 varieties of plants! Check out the website: www.friendsschoolplantsale.com. It is held in the Grand Stand at the State Fairgrounds. Here the line starts at the door, runs down the length of the Grandstand, all along the back wall, out the door, and back up the front!!! With all these people I bet we didn't wait longer than 10 - 15 minutes! They have the system down!!

And Mom thought we'd only need one wagon!

Happy Easter!
Look at what the Easter Bunny brought!!

Yeah!! "Mom, can I eat this for breakfast?"

"Colton! Did Mom say you could eat that?"
After several arguments, teeth brushing, putting on tights, the brutal hair curling... here they are... the kiddos.

Ahhh... they DO like each other!
After church we went to Uncle Dan and Auntie Sara's house for an easter egg hunt and dinner. Here's the gang before the hunt.
The hunt.
Cute, Dan!

Colton really wanted to ride the skateboard like the big kids, so Daddy was showing him how it works.

"Look, Mom! No hands!" Such a quick learner.
For yet ANOTHER egg hunt we headed to Grandpa Jeff's and Grandma MariBeth's.

Someone was too busy playing to listen to his body. Mom didn't bring extra clothes so we had to make due.
Church Easter Egg Hunt!
What fun!! We went to the church Easter Egg Hunt the Saturday before Easter. The kids first made their bags for collecting their eggs. Kyla was on it like white on rice. Colton... let's just say he wasn't interested in making his bag. Mom "helped." A lot.

Here they are with their bags. The bags are supposed to look like bunnies.

Okay. So it wasn't really a "hunt." The eggs were pretty much just laying there waiting for the kids to pick them up. Keep in mind this was for ALL ages. The kids were to pick up two eggs of each color. Once we were back inside there was a cute little project to do with the egg contents.
