A Mother's Goodnight

Everynight before I put myself to bed I go and check on my "babies". Last night I slowly walked over to Colton's crib. I smiled when I saw him lying on his stomach with his knees tucked in underneath him so his butt's up in the air. His head was turned to the side and his nuk was hanging half way out of his little mouth. His left arm was still hugging his elmo doll close to his side. How precious is this? I couldn't help but to just stand there and watch. I kissed my fingers, placed them on his cheek and thanked God for this wonderful gift.

Next I went into Kyla's room. There she was curled up on her side in her red, flannel penguin nightgown and red socks. Like her brother she was hugging her "baby". I gently lie down next to her. She stirred and rolled towards me. I kissed her perfect little cheek and placed my hand on her back. As I lie there watching her dream I felt a wave of peace pass over me like a warm blanket. I did't want to move. I just wanted to stay right there next to my very own flesh and blood. It was almost as though I could feel my soul recharging. Once again I thanked God for this wonderful gift.

Winter Fun

One of Kyla's favorite winter activity is eating snow. What kid doesn't love snow? Just make sure it isn't yellow.

Colton Gets Down with Kenny Rogers

This is hilarious! Colton was dancing to Kenny Rogers. He kept going over to the stereo and turning up the volume. You can hear Kyla in the background telling me to turn it down.

"What's with all the ad's? Half of the magazine is advertisements. Honestly!"

Crayon Trouble

Now this looks innocent enough, right? Meet my children. Instead of coloring, Kyla was peeling paper and breaking every crayon she could and Colton was trying to eat them. What's wrong with these two? Don't they know to actually color with the crayons?

Flu Bug

We've been bitten. 'tis the season, right? Here's poor Kyla trying to catch up on some sleep. She was so good about bringing her bucket with her where ever she went. Poor thing.

Poor Brady can't get a moment's peace. The poor guy just wanted to use the bathroom, but Colton couldn't bear to be without him. "Dada!!"

Here we are just sharing our morning cup of juice... Actually, Kyla has a habit of running in the house. Whenever she gets caught she is told to sit down. She just happened to be in front of the pantry this time. Colton came by and saw Kyla sitting down so he thought he'd sit with her. What a guy!

Well, 2008 isn't starting too well for this little bunch. Tis the season - we just got over the flu and now Colton is fighting an ear infection. Poor little guy. I just hate it when the kids are sick.
