T-Ball

Well, Kyla wanted to play T-Ball this year. It was just an introductory class to teach how to hit, and how to field. Her friend Brynn played also but they didn't get on the same team. Here's Kyla in the ready position. She's the one in the middle.
The fans!
Here's Kyla and Brynn.

Milaana!

Auntie Jen and Milaana came for a visit! Oh how we have missed them! The last time all the cousins were together was Easter 2006! My, how they've all grown!

Colton didn't want his picture taken.

That's better.

Picnic Lunch Outside!

One of the kids favorite things to do in the summer is to eat outside. We found a great shady spot and laid down our blanket.

My handsome little man.

My beautiful girl... look at those eyes!

And my other pretty girl...

Happy 4th of July!

For the 4th of July we went over to some friends house. Jesse and Jessica have twin girls Ashley and Emily. They were born just before Colton. Tim and Becky have Jakob and Zach. Jakob is 2 and Zach is months old. It was so fun to watch all the kids play together. Hopefully Colton and Jakob won't take after their naughty, but fun fathers.
Mmmm... Uncle Timmy made popsicles.

Here's the gang!

Larry, Curly, and Moe were lighting off fireworks for the kids.

I think they were a hit!

Buzz Cut

Well, it was time. Colton's hair was shaggy. Dad got out the clippers and gave him a new 'do.

Here we go...

Here he is!

A Day at the Zoo

Here's Sparky the seal...

Say, "Cheese!"

So, here I'm thinking..."I'm not such a dope. I have this big bag with water and snacks for the kids, I have my camera..." I'm not so bad at this Mom thing... what the heck?
Stupid bag. I ended up carrying the stupid thing around all day! UGH!

Ahhhh... one of my favorite pictures...

After the zoo, I took the kids to a nearby park to play.
"Watch this, Mom!"

Colton sure was pooped out!

Kyla managed to stay awake the whole way home.

The Friends School Plant Sale!

WOW!! So many plants... so little time! This is a wonderful fundraiser for the Friends School. The Friends school is a K-8 independant Quaker school. Every mother's day weekend they have their plant sale with over 2,200 varieties of plants! Check out the website: www.friendsschoolplantsale.com. It is held in the Grand Stand at the State Fairgrounds. Here the line starts at the door, runs down the length of the Grandstand, all along the back wall, out the door, and back up the front!!! With all these people I bet we didn't wait longer than 10 - 15 minutes! They have the system down!!

And Mom thought we'd only need one wagon!

Brady's truck just hasn't been the same since we stuffed it with girly plants...

Here' my haul! I was so excited to start digging!!! We are SO doing this again next year!

Happy Easter!

Look at what the Easter Bunny brought!!

Yeah!! "Mom, can I eat this for breakfast?"

"Colton! Did Mom say you could eat that?"

After several arguments, teeth brushing, putting on tights, the brutal hair curling... here they are... the kiddos.

Ahhh... they DO like each other!

After church we went to Uncle Dan and Auntie Sara's house for an easter egg hunt and dinner. Here's the gang before the hunt.

The hunt.

Cute, Dan!

Colton really wanted to ride the skateboard like the big kids, so Daddy was showing him how it works.

"Look, Mom! No hands!" Such a quick learner.

For yet ANOTHER egg hunt we headed to Grandpa Jeff's and Grandma MariBeth's.

Someone was too busy playing to listen to his body. Mom didn't bring extra clothes so we had to make due.
